Why this topic
Most revenue problems aren't effort problems. They're alignment problems. Product, marketing, and sales each tell a slightly different story about who the customer is and why they buy, and then everyone works harder to make up for it. I've written about this before in why alignment is the real go-to-market problem, and the lunch and learn is the practical, hour-long version.
Five fundamentals we'll cover
- Know who you serve (and who you don't). Build an ideal customer profile that goes beyond company size to the problems that make someone a great fit. More in how to define your ICP.
- Understand why buyers buy. Map the stages your buyers move through, from first recognizing a problem to confirming they made the right choice. See the seven stages of the buyer decision journey.
- Build one message everyone uses. Clear positioning, real differentiation, and honest answers to the objections you hear every week.
- Align product, marketing, and sales. Why three versions of the pitch cost you deals, and how to get everyone working from the same playbook.
- Stay aligned as things change. Markets, competitors, and buyers move. Learn how to keep your strategy current instead of letting it drift.
Who should come
Business owners and founders, sales and marketing leaders, teams launching a new product or entering a new market, and anyone whose pipeline feels harder than it should. You don't need to know the jargon. The glossary will cover you if I get carried away.
What you'll walk away with
- A simple framework you can apply the same week.
- Questions to pressure-test your current ICP and message.
- A quick way to spot where your team is out of alignment.
The framework is the C3 Method, which I created to align product, marketing, and sales around buyer truth. Think of it like a race car: if it's out of alignment, a bigger engine just gets you to the wall faster. More tools and more spend won't fix a strategy that isn't aligned.
If you want to go further
Attendees can book a free 30-minute GTM fit call to talk through where their go-to-market is strong and where it's drifting, or see a demo of Assembly AI, our guided go-to-market operating system. Questions beforehand are welcome in the FAQ or at info@assemblynetworks.net.
Hope to see you there.
