Michael Schaefer
Founder & Chief Strategy Officer
Michael has spent 25+ years building marketing organizations and go-to-market strategies. Along the way he kept seeing the same pattern: companies invest heavily in sales, marketing, and technology before validating who they are really for, why buyers choose them, and where deals are leaking. The result is expensive, busy marketing that does not move revenue.
He created the C3 Method to fix that, a framework for understanding and influencing how customers actually make buying decisions, delivered through fixed-scope go-to-market sprints in weeks, not months. Today he is taking that methodology further with Assembly AI, an AI-powered platform that operationalizes it and makes rigorous, research-driven strategy faster and more accessible than traditional consulting.
Earlier in his career he pioneered early marketing automation and digital asset management systems for enterprise organizations, the work that eventually became the C3 Method. He works best with growing companies that need real go-to-market clarity: a sharper ideal customer, a differentiated position, and a message sales can actually use.
When Michael is not helping clients get aligned, he is trying to stop sliotars on the hurling pitch.

Rocky is a fractional CIO/CISO with nearly two decades of experience helping organizations build resilient, secure technology strategies. He has partnered with businesses across law, construction, insurance, healthcare, and other regulated industries, bringing enterprise-level IT and cybersecurity leadership to companies that need it most, without the overhead of a full-time executive hire.
Rocky specializes in M&A technology due diligence and data governance, helping leadership teams uncover risk, protect critical information, and make confident decisions during moments of transition and growth.
When he's not untangling tech stacks, Rocky's probably untangling something in the garage, or losing gracefully at chess.
